What does ZUGUCASE’s warranty cover?

ZUGUCASE’s one year manufacturer’s warranty protects against defects in workmanship and materials for one year from the purchase date. ZUGUCASE will repair or replace its product if, due to defective parts or workmanship, it does not perform as specified. This warranty covers only repair or replacement of the product itself. This warranty is extended to the original consumer purchaser only. ZUGUCASE’s liability to customer, if any, shall in no event exceed the total of the purchase price. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, therefore, sections of the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Any representations or promises inconsistent, or in addition to this warranty are unauthorized and shall not be binding upon ZUGUCASE.

Do I need to register my case to take advantage of the one year warranty?

No, you do not need to register your case to be covered by the ZUGUCASE warranty. An original or copy of a sales receipt and/or order number from our website or authorized reseller is required for warranty service.

Who is covered?

This one year warranty is non-transferable and covers only the original end-user purchaser. A copy of a sales receipt from the original authorized ZUGUCASE purchase is required for warranty service. This one year warranty does not cover products purchased from unauthorized retailers (including, without limitation, online 3rd party sellers who sell on auction sites). Online sales auction confirmations are NOT accepted for warranty verification.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

  • Normal wear and tear of case use
  • Misuse, lack of care, mishandling, accident, abuse, or other abnormal use
  • Use of the case other than for its intended purpose
  • Damage caused by improper or unauthorized repair or maintenance
  • Case that has been modified or altered
  • Any case that is not manufactured by ZUGUCASE (including, without limitation, any non-ZUGUCASE product that is used in connection with the case)
  • Any case that is not purchased from a ZUGUCASE authorized reseller

How can I file a warranty claim?

Our products have a one-year warranty from the original purchase date with proof of purchase from an authorized reseller.

To begin a warranty claim, please contact our customer service department at support@zugucase.com and enter “warranty claim” in the subject line. Within that email please include the following:

  • A photo of the damaged case so we can see the issue you’re referring to
  • A copy of your sales receipt or order number
  • A brief description of the issue
  • The shipping address and phone number for the replacement

Providing all of the information above will help expedite the review of your claim. We will evaluate your claim (typically within 3-5 business days) to determine if it qualifies for a warranty replacement and will contact you via email regarding the status of the claim. Should the case need to be returned for inspection, ZUGUCASE is not liable for cases that are damaged or lost in transit to ZUGUCASE.

My iPad broke while it was in a ZUGUCASE product. Will you replace it?

We’re very sorry to hear that. While our cases provide impact protection from drops, we can’t guarantee that they will prevent any and all damage to the device. If you drop them hard enough, from high enough, or onto a sharp or protruding element, your device may still be damaged.

Our one year manufacturer’s warranty does not cover damage to any device or personal property. ZUGUCASE is not liable for any damage or destruction to consumer electronic devices or other personal property.

PLEASE NOTE: All products returned to ZUGUCASE will be subject to review for authenticity. Products determined to be counterfeit will be confiscated and will not be returned or replaced.

Unfortunately, we cannot replace or accept returns of cases that are not genuinely ZUGUCASE or that are not sold from an authorized ZUGUCASE reseller.

Do not send your product directly to ZUGUCASE without first contacting customer service, as this will only delay the process.

WARNING ABOUT UNAUTHORIZED SELLERS

Sometimes resellers who sell through Amazon.com or other online sites are not authorized resellers of ZUGUCASE products. When purchasing ZUGUCASE products it is important to note where the product is being “shipped from and sold by”, this is stated in the header of each product. Warranties are only available for ZUGUCASE products sold by authorized sellers. Please contact ZUGUCASE directly before you make your purchase if you are uncertain if you are purchasing from an authorized reseller.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ZUGUCASE or its authorized suppliers be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising out of the use of the case, including, without limitation, property damage, loss of value of the case or any third party products that are used in or with the case, even if ZUGUCASE has been advised of the possibility of such damages. ZUGUCASE has no liability for any damage or destruction to consumer electronics devices or other personal property that are in the cases, or any loss of data contained in the device. Notwithstanding any damages that you might incur for any reason whatsoever (including, without limitation, all damages referenced herein and all direct or general damages in contract, negligence or otherwise), the entire liability of ZUGUCASE and any of its authorized suppliers shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the case.
