The 360 Case

As far as I'm concerned ZUGU has long been the gold standard by which all iPad cases are measured, but I must admit, there have been more than a few times when it would have been great to have my iPad in portrait mode for whatever I was using it for at the time--without propping the ZUGU-encased iPad against something else. I mean, c'mon, I wasn't going to use another manufacturer's rotating case because over the years ZUGU has proven time and again that their case both protects the iPad and looks great doing it. So, I just lived with it. The protection and the style far outweighed the (minor) inconvenience.

Then, the ZUGU 360 Case arrived on the scene. A little spendy? Yes. Would I like it better in red? Yes. Did either of those things give me pause? A little bit, yes, but thanks to a manufacturer discount code, I decided to take the plunge because I use portrait mode quite a lot--especially for reading, sketching, and note-taking, and I wanted the same protection for the iPad I've become accustomed to. So glad I did because it's everything ZUGU promises it will be: strong protection and an elegant solution to longstanding issue.

After purchasing the iPad Pro I quickly realized how difficult it was to find the perfect case. You spend so much money on electronics, you need a case you’re 100% happy with. This case is wonderful. Not only is it ascetically pleasing, but you can rest easy knowing your tech is protected. The leather outside is so soft and the inside liner is super gentle on the touch screen.

Catastrophically overpriced, but otherwise merely OK case.

Materials feel nice in hand, and passively using the stand to watch movies is fine. Having an inner, more basic case is nice, though the weight adds up.

However, when using the elevated position or portrait position things are a bit wobbly, or even when using the lower more stable positions to draw or write the bottom of the case bucks, unlike their far cheaper, older design. No sane person thinks this case is worth the $180 asking price. Even half that would be a slightly tough sell, really.
